Policies Effective January 1, 2023

Our new fee for no show/failure to cancel an appointment without giving a MINIMUM of 24 hours notice is now increased to 50% of the missed appointment. While we understand things happen in life, is it common courtesy to give us a chance to fill in your spot. Without providing sufficient notice, we are then unable to fill your empty spot with some one who is waiting for an appointment.

Aggressive dogs will NO LONGER be tolerated for grooming appointments, especially if you know your dog has issues and fail to disclose them to us, so we can take proper precautions. If you know your dog has issues with something please let us know before your groom, then we can deal with things appropriately. If your dogs bites one of our staff, you will be called immediately, the dog will be sent home with owners paying for any services completed on your dog.

The Pet Owner confirms that they have fully disclosed the health condition of their pet to our groomer prior to receiving services, including but not limited to any congenital diseases, age-related health issues, and skin conditions. The Pet Owner understands that failure to disclose such information may affect the safety and health of the pet during the service.

Matted pet release:

Please realize matted animals are more likely to have injuries, cuts and bruising to the skin due to the skin being pulled in the matting. There is also the possibility of us discovering sores and other skin conditions under the matted fur. By reading this and completing our intake form you are releasing Dog Haven Studio Pet Grooming of any liability if such things occur. We also have the right to refuse or stop or grooming at any point we deem necessary.

However, in the practice of pet grooming, we occasionally encounter special situations where some pets, due to health conditions, personality traits, or specific grooming needs, might present challenges to our groomers. Our groomers are professionally trained and possess extensive grooming experience, but in order to ensure the safety and welfare of the pets, as well as the safety of our groomers, we need to clarify the following points:

Professional Judgment of Groomers: If a pet groomer assesses that a particular grooming request is beyond their capability, or believes that proceeding with the grooming service could pose a risk to the pet's health or safety, they reserve the right to refuse service.
Health and Safety of Pets: The health and safety of pets are our top priorities. If a groomer believes that a pet's behavior could potentially harm themselves or the pet, they might suggest looking for a more suitable service solution or professional.
Communication and Understanding: We encourage pet owners to communicate thoroughly with groomers, understanding their concerns and recommendations. We believe that through mutual understanding and cooperation, we can find the most suitable solution for your pets.

Please understand that such decisions are never made lightly, but we believe that through professional judgment and a responsible attitude, we can ensure the best interests of every customer and their pets.
